Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer focused on Physical AI  to join their team. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be part of the robotics department supporting innovative projects. 

Job Title: Machine Learning Engineer | Contract to Hire 

Location: St Paul, MN | Flexibility to be Hybrid 

Pay Range: $55-$70/HR 

What's the Job?

Develop and implement imitation and reinforcement learning algorithms (e.g., Behavioral Cloning, Dagger, GAIL, SAC, PPO). Train policy networks using sensor-rich datasets (images, trajectories, force data). Evaluate generalization, robustness, and sim-to-real performance of learned behaviors. Work closely with the team to align data collection, labeling, and model training. Tune and deploy neural policies to real robot hardware.

What's Needed?

M.S. or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in deep learning, ideally applied to robotics or control. Strong experience with PyTorch (model development, training, and optimization). Solid grasp of imitation learning and related concepts (RL, supervised policy learning, trajectory optimization). Familiarity with robotic environments and control abstractions.
