We are looking for an experienced Automation/Robotics expert to join our team and support our digitalization initiative. In this role, you will drive standardization, innovation, and operational excellence in Machine Integration, Automation, and Robotics across manufacturing operations globally. You will facilitate the adoption and effective usage of the Manufacturing Digitalization Platform (MDP), ensuring data integration and promoting Industry 4.0 initiatives for improved productivity and quality.

The work model for the role is: hybrid ; #LI-Hybrid

The role is contributing to the IEC LV Motors division in globally.

The location of the role will be Finland (Vaasa), India (Faridabad, Bangalore) or China (Shanghai).

Willingness to travel is required (up to 30%).

You will be mainly accountable for:

Configure and maintain the Manufacturing Digitalization Platform to facilitate seamless real-time data integration; develop unified namespace frameworks using standard industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus).

Lead evaluation and piloting of IoT and Industry 4.0 technologies; scale successful solutions globally and collaborate closely with analytics teams for actionable insights.

Develop and document clear standards for automation, robotics, PLC programming, and machine integration to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability.

Oversee robotic system adoption, set programming and safety standards, and assess emerging technologies such as AI and advanced vision systems.

Act as primary liaison between technology vendors, operational teams, and site leadership; manage project requirements, escalations, and resources.

Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues, optimize system performance, and rigorously test solutions prior to deployment.

Develop practical, clear training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure effective adoption by end-users and stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role

10+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics integration, and PLC programming.

Expertise in standard industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet or others) and real-time data management platforms.

Degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Knowledge of object-oriented programming (preferably C# / .Net)

Proven ability to pilot and globally scale innovative technology solutions in manufacturing environments.

Experience in creating comprehensive technical standards, documentation, and training frameworks.

Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and project management skills, able to engage effectively with diverse global teams.

Experience working in global, cross-functional teams in complex organizations.

Experience in project management is a plus.

Fluent English language skills.
