Career Opportunity:

The Greer, SC plant is seeking experienced machine helpers to join our production team.  In this role, you will play an integral part in the production process, ensuring that our machinery operates efficiently and produces high-quality products for our customers.

 

Pay Rate is $18 to $21.48 per hour, depending on experience. Shifts available:2nd  3p to 11:30p with a $.50 per hour shift premium

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:

Support the operation of a fast-paced manufacturing facility.Maintain general knowledge and understanding of production processes and equipment.Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.Follow all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position, and department accurately.Perform routine adjustments during the production run and maintain production throughout the run.Perform all assigned work effectively and on schedule.Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety regulations.Contribute to quality investigations when necessary.Perform other job duties as assigned.

 

What You Need to Succeed:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience in a high-volume setting.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.Ability to lift, push and/or pull 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and management.Maintain good attendance. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
