Aerotek is seeking experienced technical operators for a manufacturing company in the Jackson, TN Area.

Description:

•\tServe as lead for machine operators and production

•\tAssign employees to production lines and make sure all machines are running on schedule and at production speed.

•\tMonitor product being ran, making sure hourly samples are taken for quality, inspecting defects to eliminate waste

•\tAssist in machine changeovers/order changes and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.

•\tClean and repair machines

•\tMake sure work in area is done in a safe manner and employees are following all safety procedures.

•\tSubmit accurate production reports daily and timely.

•\tMake sure employees take breaks, and schedule relief as needed.

•\tTrain new employees or assign them to others to train.

•\tKeep workers supplied with necessary materials.

•\tMake sure employees keep their work areas clean.

•\tRefer employees to Human Resources for complaints and/or first step grievances or other issues as they arise.

•\tDistribute paychecks to subordinates.

•\tOther miscellaneous duties as assigned by management, including food safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

2-5 years Machine Operator experience

_ experience with changeover, set up, machine adjusting, mechanical repairs when needed

Attention to detail and ability to maintain production

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
