The Garrity Family Medicine Clinic is now hiring for a full-time, team-oriented and personable Medical Assistant for our clinic located on Sister Catherine Way near our Nampa Medical Center!

Position Summary & Highlights

This position will work 1:1 with a very busy family practice provider and will also support family medicine providers and a team of other MAs and RNs when needed.

The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Garrity Campus Clinic offers easy access to state of the art healthcare services, conveniently located next to the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa.

What You Will Do:

You will primarily support a very busy family practice provider and will also support family medicine providers and a team of other MAs and RNs when needed.

You will also be administering immunizations, assisting with minor procedures such as circumcisions, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.

An ideal candidate has previous LPN or MA experience, is very detailed oriented, has excellent patient flow and pace skills, and confident communication skills with providers and other staff.

You are outgoing, easy going, enjoys problem solving, and are a strong team player.

Work Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday 7am- 5:30pm, Friday 7am-1:00p

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

American Medical Technologists (RMA)

National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP)

New Graduates: Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification.

Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

*Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
