Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – School Setting
Pay Rate: $29–$37 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team and support students in a school-based environment. In this role, you will play a key part in promoting student health, safety, and well-being while ensuring high-quality nursing care in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing’s standards, policies, and physician directives.
You will be temporarily on call until we can confirm an ongoing assignment with the District.
The School Nurse is responsible for applying the nursing process, delivering direct student/client care, and supporting contracted services within the school. Depending on assignment, the LVN may also take on supervisory responsibilities within the scope of the contract.
Responsibilities
+ Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with physician orders and school policies
+ Support health screenings, medication administration, and chronic condition management
+ Respond to student health needs, injuries, and emergencies
+ Maintain accurate documentation and follow all regulatory guidelines
+ Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student success
+ Uphold Amergis Healthcare Staffing’s philosophy, standards, and professional expectations
Minimum Requirements
+ Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
+ Active LVN/LPN or RN license in the state of practice
+ One year of professional nursing experience preferred
+ Current CPR certification
+ PPD or chest X-ray (as applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
