Responsible for performing moderately complex and/or specialized patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a clinician or NP (Nurse Practitioner) to ensure that patients receive appropriate care. Responsible for performing operational duties as required under the supervision of the site administrator or designee.


Primary Responsibilities:

Acts as a patient advocate in the coordination and delivery of quality patient care in our infusion clinicMaintains patients' dignity by protecting patients' rights to privacy, confidentiality, and safetyWorks as a team with all ancillary services to expedite and coordinate patient careDirects patient to proper exam/treatment area and prepares patient for examinations and other procedures. Assists in the transportation of patient and patient flowObtains records and reports vital signs and any other pertinent patient information to the RN or clinicianAdministers medication safely, accurately and in accordance with the state of California licensurePerforms various patient tests, and instructs patients on procedural preparations under the supervision of the clinician or RNMaintains and cleans exam/treatment areas and medical equipmentAssist physician and patient with insurance authorizations by proper form initiation, correct CPT& ICD-10 coding, computer data entry, phone calls, interfacing professionally with HMO and Billing Office, faxes, and letters as relates and is appropriateNotifies pharmacies of new prescriptions and authorizations of new refills as ordered by the clinicianCollects, labels, and transports various specimens to appropriate destinationsMaintains logs, records of medical procedures, and inventories of suppliesAnswers telephone calls, taking messages, referring calls to the doctor or licensed nurse as appropriatePerforms additional duties as assignedFloat to other specialties as needed

Required Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse programCurrent LVN licensure to practice in CaliforniaI.V. therapy and phlebotomy certificationBasic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA)1+ years of experience working as an LVN/LPN experience


Preferred Qualifications:

ACLSPALS1+ years of experience working as an LVN/LPN ExperienceInfusion clinic experienceBilingual- English/Spanish

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
