An Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant may also be considered instead of a Medical Assistant or LPN. As an Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant, you will provide care to diverse populations of patients under the supervision of a physician or nurse. An Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant in this role is familiar with performing health screenings, collecting specimens, updating health records, keeping medical supplies stocked, maintaining examination areas, and monitoring, recording, and communicating patients' conditions. Outpatient Clinical Care Assistants also perform administrative duties, such as appointment scheduling and patient registration, which offer a unique learning opportunity to expand your skillset. **A caregiver in this position will work around 8:00am to 4:30pm with an alternating time of 6:45am to 6:00pm based on facility needs.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care. + Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition. + Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas. + Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
