The 3 South Medical/Surgical Unit at Hillcrest Hospital is part of a new expansion and features 11 private beds. This unit provides comprehensive medical care for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including heart failure, COPD, infections, gastrointestinal (GI) bleeds, and more. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system **A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Collect, document and report patient data and observations to the RN or authorized directing health care provider. + Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions. + Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions. + Perform routine laboratory tests. + Educate patients and family members. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program + Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of patient care experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
