School Nurse (LPN) – Part-Time | Tuesdays & Wednesdays | Elementary School Location: Kissimmee, FL Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Hours: 15 hours/week Start Date: 1/28/2026 Contract Length: 20 weeks Job Type: Part-Time (School-Year Position) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support an Elementary School two days per week for the remainder of the school year. The School Nurse will provide compassionate, skilled, and reliable care to students while ensuring the consistent application of the nursing process in a school setting. Candidates must have strong diabetes care skills and recent experience working in a school environment. This is a great opportunity for nurses seeking consistent part-time hours with the option to pick up additional work through our float/sub pool. Key Responsibilities + Provide direct student care within scope of practice + Implement nursing interventions based on assessment and physician directives + Manage student health plans, including diabetic care (insulin, monitoring, emergency response) + Maintain documentation, health records, and compliance with school and district policies + Respond to medical emergencies and routine daily health needs + Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers + Follow Amergis Healthcare Staffing standards, protocols, and policies Minimum Requirements + Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN/LVN/RN) + Active LPN License in the state of Florida + School nursing experience required + Strong diabetic care skills — must be fully confident and independent + One year of professional nursing experience (preferred) + Current CPR certification + TB test, PPD, or chest X-ray (if required) + Current health certificate (as required) + Meets all state, federal, and district compliance standards + Must be at least 18 years of age How to Apply To be considered, candidates must submit: + Email updated resume to Amanda at amalmand@amergis.com or text 813-261-4384 to schedule a call!
