The Endoscopy department offers upper gastrointestinal endoscopy for esophageal, stomach and duodenal disorders, wireless capsule endoscopy and balloon-assisted enteroscopy for intestinal disorders, colonoscopy for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for colonic disease, and ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound for pancreatic and biliary disorders. This is a highly experienced team of caregivers that collaborate on various endoscopy procedures to achieve excellent medical outcomes for patients. **A caregiver in this position will work primarily weekday day shifts with rotating weekend and on-call responsibilities. Caregivers work one Saturday shift approximately every six weeks from 7:00am-1:00pm (about 6-7 shifts per year) and participate in a voluntary on-call rotation from Friday at 6:00pm through Monday at 6:00am, averaging 6-7 weekends annually. The department is closed on holidays; however, caregivers participate in an on-call holiday rotation approximately once every other year.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Collect, document and report patient data and observations. + Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions. + Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions. + Perform routine laboratory tests. + Educate patients and family members. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program + Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of patient care experience **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. + Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. + Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. + Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids. + Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $23.25 Maximum hourly: $33.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
