The Main Campus Emergency Department provides top-quality care to patients 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Our caregivers treat over 61,000 adult and pediatric patients annually, providing a critical link to healthcare for our community, the region and the world (through Cleveland Clinic Critical Care Transport). As LPN on this team, you will interact with these 158 fellow healthcare staff, collaborating to create the best possible experience for patients, families and visitors. **A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Collect, document and report patient data and observations. + Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions. + Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions. + Perform routine laboratory tests. + Educate patients and family members. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program + Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) + Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of patient care experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
