As an LPN for Breast Surgery, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, high-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will directly support the practices of two colorectal surgeons while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and the educational resources offered throughout the Cleveland Clinic system. **A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide professional nursing care to patients. + Administer medication. + Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files. + Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions. + Implement pain management assessments and documentation. + Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO. + Follow Code Blue protocol. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of Accredited LPN program + Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross + Knowledge of infection control practices + Computer literacy Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of outpatient clinical experience + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross + Experience with adult populations + Experience with EPIC + Breast surgery background **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting. + Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. + Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. + Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. + Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Salaries [which may be] shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
