The General Surgical Services clinic is now hiring for an LPN to become part of our healthcare team offering an excellent patient experience!
Position Summary & Highlights:In this LPN position you will be assisting with the delivery of patient care under the directions of the Medical Director and his provider team and an RN Supervisor in our busy surgery clinic.
Our surgical teams are experts in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and in advanced subspecialty disciplines including General Surgery, Esophageal Health and Reflux, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Colorectal Surgery and Surgical Oncology.
What Will You Do:You will room patients, complete chart prep, assist with nurse visits, in clinic procedures, and triage as available.
Manage nursing care for patients including patient education, triage calls, pre-operative, and post-operative nursing care.
Manage wound checks and wound care for patients.
Cover on-site and phone triage.
Monitor and track surgeries for both bariatric and other surgical patients.
Perform IV starts and IV monitoring for the clinic when needed.
You will also perform patient follow up, surgery scheduling, assist with referrals, and conduct prior authorizations.
An ideal candidate is flexible, able to multitask, is extremely organized - a task master, and not afraid of prompt changes.
Work Schedule:40 hours/week: either 5 days/week or 4 and a half days/week, Mondays - Fridays.
Shifts would be either a 7:30am or 8:00am start and either a 4:30pm or 5:00pm end time, based on clinic needs.
There may be a possibility the position could work alternating 4 - 10 hour shifts.

Located on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus, off of I-184 and Curtis Road
Some providers will see patients in an outreach setting at other clinics in the Treasure Valley.

Minimum Requirements:Colleague must have an LPN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued before the hire date.
All colleagues must provide licensure or proof of application in process for the secondary state within 90 days of hire.
IDAHO ONLY: Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk
Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
