LPN - Adult Pulmonary Critical Care Unit

Are you a highly motivated and collaborative LPN looking to grow your skills in a supportive, team-based environment? Join our Adult Pulmonary Critical Care Unit - 6N, a 26-bed mixed acuity floor (15 Progressive Care beds and 11 Medical-Surgical beds) with a primary focus on pulmonology. 

As an LPN on 6N, you'll work closely with RNs and PCAs to provide exceptional care for patients across both the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical sides of the department. We provide thorough training to ensure you feel confident in both areas while developing advanced skills. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Administer medications (PO, SubQ, IM, IV, NG/PEG tube)Perform trach care and support chronic/stable ventilator management in collaboration with RNs (with 24/7 RT coverage)Deliver wound care and skin integrity managementAssist with patient mobility and daily care needsCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care 

Schedule: 

Part TimeNight Shift24 Hours Per WeekEvery 3rd Weekend RotationHoliday Rotation

Description:

Knows and uses the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Evaluates response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement. Accepts delegated nursing measures for which he or she knows he or she is prepared, qualified and licensed to perform.

Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.Requires an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license.Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.Successful completion of orientation required.1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
