Job Summary
Responsible for providing direct patient care in a hospital setting under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and physicians. This role involves assisting with patient assessments, administering medications, and supporting patients' daily activities to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction. This is a critical role in the healthcare team, working closely with other professionals to deliver compassionate and efficient care in a fast-paced environment.Does this position require Patient Care? -Assist with patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient conditions in medical records.
-Administer prescribed medications and treatments, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety.
-Help patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, to promote comfort and well-being.
-Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
-Provide patients and their families with education on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
-Assist with wound care management, including dressing changes and monitoring for signs of infection.
-Perform IV therapy and other advanced nursing procedures as permitted by state regulations.
-Accurately document all care provided, including medication administration, patient observations, and any changes in patient condition.
-Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Education
Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Licensed Practical Nurse required

Licenses and Credentials
Licensed Practical Nurse [LPN - Massachusetts State License] - required
Experience
Nursing or patient care experience, preferably in a hospital setting 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices, including medication administration and patient care procedures.
- Ability to accurately monitor and document patient conditions, ensuring thorough and precise record-keeping.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients effectively.
