Low Voltage Technician II

**Hello! We are currently hiring for Low Voltage Technician II !**
**Job Description**
+ The Communications Technician II role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, positive in approach, and professional.
+ This position requires the ability to help create, develop, and implement project process improvements.
+ The Technician must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and deliver oral presentations.
+ The role involves working at heights, off of ladders, and in confined spaces, with physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds and moving up to 75 pounds.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform the technical responsibilities of a Cable Installer and function as a lead member of a technical team.
+ Coordinate small groups of installers to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
+ Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and wall, including terminating CAT 3 and CAT 5 jacks.
+ Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly.
+ Build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware.
+ Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cables as required.
+ Complete all IDC connections, such as terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels.
+ Perform testing and troubleshooting of horizontal and riser cables using tools like volt-ohmmeter and tone set.
+ Identify active voice or data circuits.
+ Assume responsibility for the effective performance of the crew, provide necessary training, and coordinate personnel and timelines to complete projects.
+ Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
+ Promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
+ Act as the company liaison for interface with customer representatives.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of two years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
+ Proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents.
+ Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
+ Experience with CAT5, CAT6, copper splicing, termination testing, rack and stack, and blueprint interpretation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ OSHA / Lift Certification
+ Datacenter experience

**Work Environment**
+ The work environment involves new construction primarily indoors without HVAC, requiring 50-60 hour work weeks including some Saturdays.
+ The role spans various locations such as commercial office buildings in **Tempe and downtown Phoenix, bank call centers, parking garages, a veterinarian clinic in Scottsdale and Goodyear.**
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear & Tempe, Arizona.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
