Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Low Voltage Installer to join our commercial installation team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to start a career in electrical systems, with a focus on low voltage technologies such as structured cabling, security systems, and audio-visual installations. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced technicians to install, test, and maintain low voltage systems in commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist in the installation of low voltage systems including:
+ Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics)
+ Security systems (CCTV, access control)
+ Fire alarm systems
+ Audio/visual equipment
+ Pull, route, terminate, and label cables according to project specifications
+ Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
+ Mount and install hardware such as panels, jacks, and enclosures
+ Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems
+ Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards
+ Document work performed and materials used
+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Basic understanding of electrical or low voltage systems preferred
+ Ability to use hand and power tools safely
+ Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces
+ Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
+ Experience with cable testers and labeling tools
+ Familiarity with NEC and local building codes
+ Certifications such as OSHA 10, BICSI Installer, or manufacturer-specific training are a plus
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
