General Summary:
The Loss Prevention Representative is crucial in ensuring our facility and operations' safety, security, and integrity. This position is responsible for implementing and enforcing comprehensive security measures, responding to emergencies, conducting surveillance, and managing access control systems. The representative will actively work to prevent losses, identify potential risks, and maintain a secure environment for all personnel, visitors, and assets.
The Loss Prevention Representative contributes significantly to maintaining a safe and secure working environment, thereby supporting the organization's overall operational efficiency and success.
Essential Functions:
· Implement and enforce safety and security policies and procedures
· Respond to emergencies, including providing first aid assistance and following fire alarm protocols
· Verify employee identification and conduct security inspections as required
· Manage visitor access control, including issuing temporary badges and ensuring their return
· Monitor security systems and respond to alarms as necessary
· Conduct security audits to identify potential risks and safety hazards
· Handle and transport confidential materials securely
· Manage access control systems and critical distribution
· Monitor CCTV surveillance systems
· Observe and report on after-hours personnel movements
· Assist in monitoring compliance with safety regulations, including powered industrial equipment operation
· Prepare and submit required reports, including daily activity logs and incident reports
· Communicate effectively with management regarding security concerns
· Maintain accurate records and contribute to monthly reporting
· Uphold professional standards in all interactions with employees and visitors
· Apply job-specific skills and knowledge effectively
· Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Additional Responsibilities:
· Administer parking control measures
· Maintain accurate logs of facility activities, including inbound/outbound trailer movements
· Operate lost and found services
· Provide transportation assistance for authorized company activities
· Support LP Supervisor/Manager with special projects as assigned
· Work collaboratively within an assigned team to meet objectives
· Adhere to the company dress code and uniform requirements
· Perform other duties as assigned by management
· Demonstrate flexibility to assist team members during high-volume periods

Physical Requirements:
1. Mobility:
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
* Capable of moving throughout the facility, including navigating between different floors
* Able to reach, grasp, bend, and stoop as needed for security inspections and equipment operation
2. Strength and Dexterity:
* Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
* Fine motor skills to operate computer systems, communication devices, and security equipment
3. Climbing:
* Able to climb stairs and ladders occasionally as needed for facility inspections or accessing certain areas
4. Environmental Adaptability:
* Capable of working in variable temperatures, including both indoor and outdoor environments
* Able to adapt to changing weather conditions when performing outdoor duties
5. Sensory and Communicative Abilities:
* Visual acuity (with or without correction) sufficient to:
- Operate computer systems and surveillance equipment
- Read identification badges and documents
- Detect suspicious activities or safety hazards
* Hearing ability (with or without aids) adequate to:
- Respond to alarms and emergency signals
- Communicate effectively in person and via communication devices
* Verbal communication skills to interact with employees, visitors, and emergency responders

* Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods

Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
· Previous Loss Prevention or security experience beneficial
· Must pass a background check
· Valid driver's license required
· Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
