Long Term Care Manager
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** **Description:** **JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE** **The Long Term Care Manager serves as the administrative individual for MercyOne's Long Term Care facility. They are responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating resident services in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of MercyOne Health System. This role fosters an environment conducive to quality resident care and collaborates with medical staff and department managers to achieve unit objectives. Responsibilities include leadership, accountability, budgeting, resident care management, staff development, and compliance with state and federal regulations.** **ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures. + Ensures safe, compassionate, and quality care delivery. + Provides nursing supervision to staff and residents. + Supports residents’ spiritual, psychological, and social needs. + Demonstrates proficiency in geriatric care. + Monitors team job performance. + Oversees hiring and staff development. + Coordinates education programs. + Evaluates staffing needs and admissions. + Prepares and maintains department budget. + Manages inventory control. + Consults with administration on care issues. + Practices effective problem-solving. + Responds efficiently in emergencies. + Promotes a safe and fulfilling environment. + Participates in professional organizations. + Conducts annual performance evaluations. + Fosters staff development and teamwork. + Participates in strategic planning. + Embodies MercyOne mission, vision, and values. + Performs other duties as assigned. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** **Education (Leadership Roles):** + Bachelor’s Degree + 1 year experience in discipline + OR 3 years’ experience + OR Master’s Degree with no experience **Licensure/Certifications:** + Current RN license **Skills and Abilities:** + Clinical leadership experience + Experience working with physicians/providers **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in geriatrics **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
