What Logistics contributes to Cardinal Health
The operations team is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Logistics plans, controls and implements processes for the storage and movement of finished goods and materials to drive operational efficiency in the organization's supply chain. This job family develops strategies for the use of internal Transportation capabilities versus third party logistics services. Logistics tracks all movement of product throughout each step in the supply chain, proactively identifies logistical risks, and addresses logistical issues to ensure on-time fulfillment of customer commitments.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain excellent relationship with SterilizersSupervise load creation at Routing for balancing and flow of the finished goods through the Sterilization pipelinePrioritize loads trough sterilization based in constant communication with planning, manufacturing and marketingMonitor and track of load deviations with sterilizers and with internal involved departmentsMonitor and track damages at sterilizers looking for root causes and reduce the frequencySupervise that the sterilization method and regions are correct.Actively participate in budget/forecast for sterilization and Short Haul and keep track of actuals vs budget/forecastSupervise his team and create a positive work environment.
Safety is a priority for the operation; this position keeps high standardsComply with the quality systemProactively act for the challenges of the logistics ProcessesEnsure Equipment for the daily operation and keep the flow in the entire Presource Operation
Qualifications
4-8 years of experience, preferredBachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Anticipated salary range: $60,000 - $80,000
