Your Role

 

Reporting to the Logistics Warehouse Manager, the Logistics Supervisor will oversee daily logistics and material handling operations, including the movement, storage, and distribution of goods across multiple work centers. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, safe handling of materials, and timely delivery performance in support of both internal and external customers. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, high-energy team player who leads by example and collaborates across functions to achieve operational goals related to safety, accuracy, and throughput. This individual will be self-motivated and work closely with warehouse, inventory control, and transportation teams. Duties include:

 

Direct the implementation and maintenance of logistics methods and standard operating procedures across all warehouse and material handling activities.Drive continuous improvement efforts in logistics efficiency and accuracy using lean tools and team engagement.Operate Box Trucks and Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) as needed.Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and quality policies and procedures.Keep management informed of issues affecting inventory flow, service levels, or logistics timelines.Promote cross-departmental collaboration to meet shared objectives.Lead team to increase throughput by optimizing utilization, prioritization, and time management; mentor staff and promote continuous learning through coaching, feedback, and performance reviews; monitor and act on KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, on-time deliveries); review reports (LPNs, Min/Max, Aging, Shortages, Expiring Inventory) and address findings promptly; manage administrative tasks such as debit memos, expiration tracking, and special projects.Manage employee performance, including attendance, disciplinary actions, training, and development (e.g., IDPs); motivate and engage team members through clear communication and task direction; ensure proper shift coverage by allocating work and monitoring progress; collaborate with cross-functional teams (Planning, Quality, Procurement) to maintain alignment; oversee inventory integrity, including receiving, material requests, and international shipments; identify and resolve inventory discrepancies; analyze material requirements and coordinate shortages across sites or third-party warehouses; monitor equipment functionality and coordinate necessary maintenance.Pass Department of Transportation (DOT) health screen for Box Truck driving; demonstrate strong quality knowledge (GMP/GDP, ISO standards); proficient in Microsoft Suite and basic computer skills; clear and effective communicator (written and verbal), capable of simplifying complex issues; proven problem-solver with leadership in process improvement, change management, and professionally challenging the status quo.

 

 

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

2+ years in a leadership role or position with increasing responsibilities.High School diploma or GED.Valid driver’s license.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or other engineering discipline.4+years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, or material handling within a regulated environment.Working knowledge of ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and barcode scanning technologies.Forklift experience preferred.Familiar with Trackwise.Lean Six Sigma and/or root cause analysis training.
