Logistics Specialist with English (focus on deliver chain) (f/m/d)

We're looking for an English-speaking Logistics Specialist to support our global deliver chain. You'll be part of our logistics team in Europe Hub, working closely with project logistics experts in our business unit and maintaining direct contact with the shipment execution team - across different European countries.
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour workday scheduled between 7 AM and 7 PM.

What will be your responsibilities?
Support global logistics projects by preparing tender documents for Requests for Quotations and collecting shipment details, e.g. weights, dimensions, dangerous goods specifications and equipment Communicate with stakeholders to clarify logistics questions and help solve delivery challengesIssue Requests for Quotations for project transportation, packing and warehouse services by e-mail to defined Logistics Service Providers based on Siemens' preferred partnersUse Siemens SharePoint to check rate cards (Air, Sea, Ground, CEP)Collaborate with Logistics Service Providers: validate and analyze quotations, prepare offer comparison and sourcing decision sheet, issue nomination letters, and clarify additional costs Analyze offers using Excel and prepare comparisons to support cost effective decision making Prepare basic reports and statistics to support data-driven decisions
Your defining qualities:Fluent written and spoken English (C1 level) - German is a plus Willingness to work between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM (8 hours a day) 1-2 years of professional experience in transport or logistics (ocean freight with initial experience in negotiations with logistics service providers preferred) Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Strong analytical skills and knowledge of MS Office applications With strong communication skills, you're comfortable engaging with people at different levels, thrive in a team environment and see great value in partnership You handle multiple priorities and stay composed even in challenging situationsYou have a sense of ownership, responsibility and a sharp eye for detail, while always keeping the bigger picture in mindYou're customer-focused and proactive in solving problems You're growth-oriented and always on the lookout for ways to improve
