Logistics Specialist II

Airswift is looking for a Logistics Specialist to give support to a major O&G client in Houston, TX on a 12-month assignment
Schedule: 5/40 – Hybrid, in office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
The main responsibilities of the Supply Specialist is to support its expanding team by performing duties including but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
• Processing new purchase requisitions
• Issuing and following up on requests for quotes (RFQ)
• Primary liaison between supplier and stakeholders
• Arranging logistical support for assigned vessels
• Reviewing and approving invoices
• Traveling to San Ramon, CA as requested by manager (maximum 3 times per year)
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, and/or purchasing process
• Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience in maritime industry
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in related field (supply chain logistics, education, business, etc.) preferred
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience using work order management software, ex. IBM Maximo
• Global awareness and enthusiasm to work with diverse cultures
• Candidate should demonstrate:
o Confidence in their ability to work independently
o Efficiency and organization in a time-sensitive environment
o Flexibility to prioritize and foster strong relationships
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
May require availability outside of standard business hours to accommodate the needs of international stakeholders
