As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating finished goods inventory management, warehousing, and transportation activities to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs. You will provide support across all aspects of Global Logistics and Trade Compliance, adhering to Customs and EAR regulations and other jurisdictions.
ResponsibilitiesGather, manage, audit, and maintain files of all necessary import documentation for US Customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and AWBs.Act as an experienced resource on both US and foreign regulations regarding the import and export of cargo.Support logistical functions such as sourcing, receiving, purchasing, and dispatching.Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders using shipping records.Input all shipment transactions into the ERP system.Receive and sign for packages delivered from carriers like FedEx and UPS.Coordinate with logistics, production, and customer service to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.Document damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation.Respond timely to corrective actions related to relevant project situations.Handle related email correspondence.Perform other job functions as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience in logistics.High school education is required.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check work.Excellent time management skills.Proficiency in organization, scheduling, analyzing information, dealing with complexity, and deadline-oriented tasks.Strong problem-solving skills.High level of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with import/export and international shipments.Potential to move into a manager role within a year.Opportunity for overtime every week.Work EnvironmentThe role is onsite, requiring physical qualifications such as the ability to lift 20 lbs and sustain office work for 8+ hours per day, including tasks such as sitting, typing, reaching, standing, phone use, and computer use.
