About You and This Role Join our team as a Logistics Service Coordinator inTerneuzen,The Netherlands! In this dynamic role, as Logistics Service Coordinator, you will be the go-to expert for day-to-day logistics operations—coordinating transport, resolving shipment issues, and ensuring smooth execution of orders within our material flow work process. You will develop proficiency through practical experience and structured on-the-job training. Whether you possess in-depth expertise in logistics or a broad understanding of associated systems and procedures, your ability to apply knowledge effectively and collaborate across functional teams will be essential to your success. You will be expected to navigate analytical challenges, make sound decisions guided by established protocols, and act as a knowledgeable resource within your team. Although this position does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities, your contributions will significantly influence the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of our logistics operations. Responsibilities + Ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery that meets customer expectations + Monitor shipments from origin and ensure timely execution by Logistics Service Providers + Resolve transactional failures and logistics issues within the material flow process + Identify and address non-compliance by service providers; support quality resolution + Match logistics capabilities with special shipment requirements + Maintain accurate logistics data and ensure correct logistics charges + Manage non-standard orders and exceptions requiring special transport arrangements + Oversee shipment creation, transport arrangements, and loading compliance + Approve and book logistics costs in SAP; handle small claims procedures + Communicate special delivery needs and coordinate with alternative carriers + Register non-compliances and escalate recurring issues + Process high-value or legally complex claims and determine appropriate actions Qualifications + Vocational degree (MBO-4 level, EQF level 4) required + Having relevant working experience in Logistics, Accounts Payable, or Purchasing is preferred + You are fluent in English Your Skills + Time Management Skills – Prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines efficiently + Customer Focus – Understanding and anticipating customer needs to deliver exceptional service + Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in data, documentation, and execution + Teamwork & Collaboration Skills – Working effectively with others to achieve shared goals + Initiative – Taking proactive steps to solve problems and improve processes + Interpersonal Effectiveness – Communicating clearly and building strong working relationships + Technical Proficiency – Navigating systems like SAP and Excel with confidence Additional notes + Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
