What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer’s dynamic Kalamazoo Logistics team, you will play a critical part in providing technical and business support to the Logistics team on a variety of tasks. Your documentation, organization, and project management skills will come in handy to prepare reports, training documentation, proposals, and drawings.

How You Will Achieve it.

The position is respnsible for providing project, continuous improvement, financial, safety, inventory, training, asset management, and organizational support to the Logistics team. The Logistics Project Specialist must work well in supporting the entire team and ensure they understand team roles and responsibilities, project deliverables, and related dependencies. Primary accountabilities are to provide project support, deliverable administration and execution, PO management, training development administration, as well as supporting and improving Logistics processes. The support accountabilities include timely and accurate responses to a wide variety of requests. Interact with Logistics team members, management, and other peer enabling groups to establish and maintain requirements for assigned project support.

Logistics Project Life Cycle Management

Manage full life cycle of all projects big and small – expense or capital

Capture and document projects and vet through standard processes to identify best path forward

Assist with the development and routing of project requests

Shepherd approvals through all systems, escalating issues as they arise for support by leadership

Initiate purchase orders, change orders, and closures

Initiate work orders for assigned projects and ensure timely completion per project goals

Work closely with all suppliers, vendors, and Procurement on all purchases

Expedite POs and purchases as needed

Initiate and maintain vendor qualification documentation

Work with our team and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and address any possible delays that may impact project schedule

Project Reports

Provide Logistics managers with an accurate assessment of a project’s status and spending forecasts, project fund dates, project closure dates, and other critical project information

Support and manage cost controls for the broader team including area, driver, project manager, and other key site forecasts

Support, develop, and create spreadsheets and presentations to support internal reporting

Ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting of project status

Develop meeting agendas and presentations to support Logistics leadership

Logistics Business Process Systems

Administer Logistics’ project SharePoint sites

Maintain all forms and files for Logistics projects

Active participation on various departmental improvement, safety, training, and efficiency initiatives

Identify suggested areas of improvement and support execution of improvements

Communications

Communicate in a timely fashion on all issues with a potential impact on projects relative to budget available, commitments, forecasted spend, risks, and known and unknown scope changes

Ensure frequent and effective communication between all stakeholders

Facilitate meetings as needed

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 4 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

Experience preferred with project management, logistics operations, pharmaceutical manufacturing systems or other manufacturing and logistics supporting roles.

Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,500.00 to $110,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
