LOGISTICS PLANNER
JOB SUMMARY
The selected candidate will report to the Planning Supervisor. This person will be responsible for scheduling 2000-2500 monthly deliveries of liquid nitrogen, oxygen and argon in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, while ensuring the highest level of safety and Customer service. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to determining customer delivery requirements, record tank readings, ensure forecast accuracy, assess Driver/equipment availability, resolve conflicts with scheduling issues, communicate with Drivers, Terminal Managers, Plant Operators, Sales staff, and review daily plant inventory and production rates to determine product availability. Our customers include hospitals, electronics companies, government agencies, refinery plants, cylinder fill plants, welding companies, and food processing companies.
Required Skills:
The selected candidate must be able to work well both
independently and as part of a group in a fast-paced environment. This person
must possess excellent communication and analytical skills as well as be
computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. A college degree and/or
previous call center experience in a related field are preferred but not
required. Knowledge of DOT Hours of
Service and regulations is preferred but not required.
