As a Logistics Network Design Engineer, you will interact with managers, team members, and logistics service providers (LSPs) to analyze domestic transportation networks to optimize Bosch transportation in the North American Region. You will be responsible for conducting analysis, preparing and making presentations to relevant stakeholders, documenting processes, and implementing continuous improvement projects (CIPs).
Main Responsibilities to include:
Evaluation of overland freight network for optimization opportunities & lead design roadmapCreate the baseline (list of transportation lanes with requirements, costs, volumes/frequencies, etc) for logistics services tenders to support purchasing (PUI)Analysis of logistics costs & large data sets to determine optimal transportation mode and routingCO2 reporting & driving CO2 reduction measuresQuoting of internal transportation costsPresenting business cases to stakeholders for cost savingsSupport implementation of transportation routesKey Performance Indicator (KPI) reportingSupporting in the creation & documentation of clear business processesSupporting development and improvements in Bosch transportation (CIP)Organize & lead workshops with Bosch plants/business units to promote optimization opportunities.Record and report savings initiatives, using Bosch’s Ratio@Log tool and other means for formal presentation to stakeholders and plantsReport out to business units and stakeholders (GBs and PSD teams) on a regular basis NA regions progress towards global savings target in S2D transport logistics.Support rollout of Core Services and drive initiatives to implement these services in NA region.Project leader for large scale NWD studies with outside consulting firms & collaborate with internal OSD team(s).QualificationsRequired:
Bachelors (or Masters) degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or EngineeringMinimum of two years of experience with MS Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)3+ year’s work experience in transportation fieldMust be authorized to work in the United States without Visa SponsorshipMust be able to travel domestically and internationally (<10%)Preferred:
Must be able to work in teams and to lead small project groupsKnowledge of Lean Six Sigma Concepts & Problem Solving tools (5 Whys, 5S, A3, ANOVA, PDCA, SIPOC, VSM)Spanish speaking skills a plus.#LI-BJ1
