The Logistics Manager will be responsible for transportation operations (raw material, intercompany, and finished product) in order to satisfy the desired levels of service and guarantee the optimization of transportation flows at the lowest possible cost. Independently track and manage the delivery and receipt of shipments. Completing accurate and timely scheduling, planning, and dispatching of trucks to ensure that the flow of product in and out meets customer demands. Critical liaison to customer service on scheduling shipments to ensure units are delivered to job site expectations. Working with transportation providers to obtain best rates, service and lanes. Responsible for dock scheduling and balancing at the site across multiple value streams. Plays a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy of finished goods and tracking of yard issues.

What you will do:
Build and Plan finished good loads based on customer needs and build schedules
Drive logistics productivity for inbound, outbound and inter-plant freight
Ensure compliance to BOS (Business Operating System) during change management phases and recommend modifications where needed.
Create and update Bill of Ladings and other required shipping documents
Ensure compliance to safety regulations and procedures throughout the shipping and transportation process
Develop internal and 3PL capabilities around loading/unloading, shipping, and yard management
Coach and drive projects that improve shipping and logistics by in depth reporting via Excel
Coach and train team on freight and logistics best practices
Interaction with supporting enterprise-wide initiatives for freight management and optimization
Contract Management
Dock and truck scheduling for inbound, outbound and inter-plant freight minimizing traffic and dock door utilization
Assist and manage finished goods both on site and at final finishers
Work with carriers and contract team to establish freight contracts with preferred carriers
Provide updates to internal and external customers on shipping timelines, and other communications.
Track key metrics including freight spend, carrier performance, storage costs, etc. Provide detailed reports, action plans, and drive improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned
What you will bring:BA/BS degree and 4 years of logistics experience or 10+ years minimum logistics experience. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of leadership experience required.
APICS (CPIM) certification preferred
Skilled in transportation scheduling.
Knowledgeable of freight carriers and DOT
Computer proficient with ERP, Excel and other applications
Basic mathematical skills
Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes preferred
Experience with visual management systems.

Compensation:
Pay Range: 90,000 - $125,000
