Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Logistics & Utilities Lead to join our team.  This position can be located in several cities, including: San Diego, Tucson and El Paso.

Responsibilities

Develop a system for resource management to include tracking of internal resources and identification of key hires and strategic teaming opportunities.Manage credentialling and vetting of personnelDevelop Training Plans to maintain proficiency.Identification of operational risks that may impede client response or project implementationCoordination with IT department to manage security requirementsDevelop and implement a system for records management, as neededWork with the Supply Chain Manager to create and maintain the company’s supply chain networkOptimize logistical support to ensure cost effectiveness and it functions well. Specifically oversee and maintain supply chain inventory and records and collaborate with vendors to ensure all operations (e.g. shipping, delivery) meet quality and safety standards and resolve issues in a timely mannerCollaborate with the broader AECOM enterprise to create vendor response plans tailored to a variety of disaster response scenariosWork with AECOM Safety professionals to incorporate the necessary safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts, etc)Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and federal procurement standardsCommunicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable dealsDevelop KPIs and KPI reports and dashboards to meet organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field that aligns with the role of this position.8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management working in an urgent and compelling environment with US Federal or State/Municipal government agencies or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationDue to the nature of the role, US citizenship is required.Ability to function as an active team player and leader in a diverse multidisciplinary environment

Preferred Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain ManagementWorking experience of relevant softwareOutstanding communication skillsExpert negotiation skillsKnowledge and/or willingness to quickly learn and adapt to AECOM's entire portfolioKnowledge and understanding of Federal Procurement rules and regulationsPrevious experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar fieldExcellent knowledge of supply chain processesExcellent organizational and project management skillsAttention to detailCreative problem-solvingA strategic and analytical mind

Additional Information

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of an enhanced background investigation, which may include, but is not limited to, verification of employment and education, a criminal history review, drug screening, and a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check, as applicable.
