Job Description Insight Global’s client is looking for a Logistics Systems Integration Specialist / Project Manager to join the team. They are looking for someone who understands, logistics, systems and the integration between them. This Warehouse is the largest outside of the US for this company, 85% of the UK business goes through this building. This project is needed because the warehouse is 23 years old and much of the equipment is obselote. In a perfect world, the company would buy new automation material. The challenge is connecting the old and new systems to run together for 2-3 years and this requires adding another layer in control systems. For this role, they need someone who can be the presence in IT with linkages into operational technology (OT). The new hire will work with the project lead and on-site experts and needs to bridge the gap between IT and OT. The role involves developing and quantifying solutions over the next three months, followed by implementation in the next few years. Required skills include IT expertise, complexity management, and experience with major change. The work must be done within the existing operating warehouse. The person will help control the linkage with the current WCS (Warehouse Control System) and the transition to a future WCS. They don't need intimate knowledge of an WCS system, but experience with similar transitions is valuable. Skills and Requirements 10+ years of Strong Project Management skills, organized and can manage multiple things at once. Logistics Experience – Blue Yonder, EWM, etc. The systems all react the same way. Someone who is a very strong communicator. This is literally half the role right now, giving updates, making sure timelines, deliverables and risks are communicated. Solid IT techno/functional background. Be able to get things quickly, have constructive conversations with vendors and business leaders The ideal candidate should have experience with major change in a brownfield site, preferably in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Would also be great, but not mandatory to have strong foundational skills with SAP, specifically SAP EWM, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, Logistics systems.
