Positions: Logistics Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics Engineer to join our team, providing critical support in scheduling, budget management, and logistics coordination. This role involves compiling data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistic activities and participating in the development, review, and revision of technical publications and training material. You will play a key role in analyzing product design and developing logistics plans to support contract requirements effectively.

Responsibilities

Compile data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistic activities.

Participate in the development, review, and revision of technical publications and training material.

Review customer specifications and requirements, analyze and evaluate product design, and develop logistics plans to support contract requirements.

Prepare, review, and revise logistics contract deliverables to meet U.S. government or contractor specifications.

Assist in specifying and evaluating supplier services, products, subsystems, and components.

Develop support documentation, including Maintenance Task Analysis and Repair Level Analysis, to support the total product lifecycle.

Research, collect, and report on the capability and capacity of company products and supplier commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment.

Initiate and complete logistics projects independently, considering obsolescence analysis, technology insertion, upgrades, repair, and overhaul of legacy systems.

Support sustainment for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, including maintenance task analysis, technical manual, schematics diagrams, and flow diagrams.

Travel up to 20% of the time as required.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics engineering.

Experience with Integrated Logistics Elements and customer applications like PowerLog J or SLICWave.

Expertise in preparing Product Support Analysis (PSA) data by Mil-Std 1388-2a and 2b, and GEIA-STD-0007.

Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, bills of materials, and specification sheets for electrical and mechanical equipment.

Technical expertise in analyzing and maintaining complex electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Knowledge of military standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in scheduling, planning, and coordinating.

Familiarity with logistics applications such as Powerlog, Slickwave, and Eagle logistics.

Experience with logistics product support analysis, maintenance planning, and sustainment strategies.

Work Environment

The position operates within a dynamic team supporting both military and commercial projects. The work schedule follows a 9-80 shift pattern, offering every other Friday off. You will be working on the EMLITS programs and supporting the Logistics Manager, Field Service personnel, and non-DRS employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
