Logistics Coordinator – ADM Logistics – Decatur, IL 
This is a non-exempt level position.
 
Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator position working with 3rd party LTL business will be responsible for operational functions relating to LTL loads for 3rd party customers of ADM Logistics. Functions will include tracking and tracing of shipments, updating internal software for customer visibility, handing escalations and order entry done in a timely fashion. The position will work closely with customer account teams to ensure a high level of service and communication. Growth opportunities include working alongside Customer, Sales and Carrier teams. This position will report to the Senior Sales Manager and is based at our Decatur, IL North American Headquarters.
 
Job Responsibilities:Track every LTL shipment in ADM Logistics’ system to ensure they are on time and proactively communicate any delays to Customer teams.Assist Customer teams in day to day management of their LTL portfolio.Update daily ADM’s internal software pertaining to customer load tracking.Establish and maintain carrier relationships to ensure operational goals are met.Utilize carrier contracts to effectively resolve issues relating to the movement and pricing of orders.Maintain and update internal documentation on LTL accessorials for the Customer team.Assist Account Management Team and Sales Team on day-to-day customer operationsProactively work with Account Managers and Sales team to identify carriers that may better fit customer needs.Fill out proper documentation for every shipment in a timely manner.Initiate and help resolve damage and missing claims via the OS&D process.Enter orders manually or via EDI acceptance into internal software.Complete the delivery process in the ADM Logistics system to ensure the carrier side is paid properly and customer receives accurate and timely billing.Invoice auditing & assisting on AR processes as needed.Participate in department meetings.Train additional team members, as necessaryEstablish and meet individual goals and objectives relating to all aspect of the positionCreate development plan and work with manager to implement.Job Requirements:Excellent verbal communication skills with emphasis on email / telephone communicationsProactive self-starter with ability to work independently and with a team.Quick communication with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work on the customer’s schedules and timelines.Previous experience in fast paced environment or customer service roles is preferred.Knowledge of brokerage, third party logistics and freight forwarding is helpfulPrevious sales / account experience is strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Office applications, TMS systems, keyboard operations and working on the telephone is required.A college degree is preferredAbility to build strong internal and external relationshipsExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
