Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator oversees the end-to-end logistics process, managing both domestic and international shipments to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. This role coordinates closely with headquarters, vendors, and internal partners, following established procedures to handle shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

Manage the logistics process from start to finish, ensuring all shipments and orders are processed accurately and on schedule.Monitor and manage the shared email inbox, reviewing and prioritizing all communications from headquarters, vendors, and internal partners at the beginning of each shift.Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to complete logistics transactions and fulfill orders and shipments in a compliant and efficient manner.Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation, labeling, and handling of all materials.Support international shipments by coordinating documentation, customs-related requirements, and communication with relevant stakeholders.Maintain accurate inventory-related information as it pertains to incoming and outgoing shipments.Communicate primarily via email and internal collaboration tools to align with cross-functional teams and resolve logistics issues.Use Microsoft Office and other business systems to track shipments, update records, and prepare basic reports related to logistics activities.Collaborate with internal partners to address any delays, discrepancies, or issues in the logistics process and help drive timely resolutions.Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and SOPs to maintain consistency, quality, and compliance in logistics operations.

Essential Skills

At least 4+ years of hands-on logistics experience.Proven experience working with international shipments and global logistics processes.Practical experience in shipping and receiving operations.Familiarity with inventory-related processes within a logistics environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for communication and basic data handling.Ability to manage a high volume of email communication and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.High attention to detail and accuracy when following SOPs and handling documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.License as a customs broker or experience supporting customs-related activities.Experience working in a global or multinational organization.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments and requests simultaneously.

Work Environment

This role begins as a fully onsite position for the first few weeks to support onboarding and training. After the initial period, it transitions to a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working from home each week, with work-from-home days assigned by the company. The standard workday starts between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., with a typical end time between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., including a one-hour lunch break. Communication is primarily digital, with approximately 90% of interactions conducted via email and internal collaboration tools such as Teams. The environment is professional, process-driven, and collaborative, supporting efficient coordination of shipping, receiving, and international logistics activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
