Logistics Coordinator
Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overall shipment process, which includes managing shipment documentation, scheduling transportation, and ensuring materials are picked up and delivered to customers on time. This role involves evaluating different transport options to optimize costs and the number of trucks/containers needed based on the required schedule.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day transportation of goods and supplies.Schedule and coordinate trucks and shipping partners for pickup and delivery, and communicate any changes or updates.Ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies.Work with the Shipping Department to obtain weights and dimensions, DG forms, and other items necessary for shipment scheduling.Prepare both domestic and international documents for shipments.Scan and distribute shipment documentation to internal and external customers.Prepare shipping department metrics.Process material orders into AX.Work with team members from different departments to organize materials and necessary paperwork for shipments.Provide daily ship schedule reports and attend daily/bi-weekly meetings.Prepare daily invoice and tracking reports.Solicit shipment quotations from transportation companies and provide feedback to internal customers for customer approval.Utilize carrier portals where available.Generate additional shipping labels as required by customers.Essential SkillsExperience with Microsoft D365 is preferable.Experience with ERP systems and MS Office suite preferred.Experience with The International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATADGR) is preferable.Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment).Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in logistics, customer service, data entry, and inventory control.Work Environment

The work schedule starts between 6-7 am and consists of an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Morgan Hill, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
