Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to supervise, schedule, and dispatch drivers, vehicles, and equipment to appropriate locations. This role involves coordinating with customers and team members to ensure efficient operations, maintaining dispatch records, scheduling fleet maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise, schedule, and dispatch drivers and vehicles according to predetermined schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs.Relay information such as work orders or other messages between drivers, supervisors, and emergency personnel using telephones, two-way radios, emails, or text messages.Communicate with supervisors or customers to resolve problems or requests for services or equipment.Prepare daily work such as schedules and work orders for drivers.Maintain and organize dispatch requests, customer requests, and completed dispatch requests.Schedule maintenance for the fleet and track trucks, trailers, bins, and other assets.Ensure fleet and drivers meet regulatory requirements.Perform project management tasks and provide administrative coverage as needed.Seek continuous process improvements.Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation and take direction respectfully from the manager.Other duties as assigned.Essential Skills2 years of dispatching experience, project coordination experience, or relatable administrative experienceHigh school diploma or GED required, associate degree preferredLogistics coordinationCustomer serviceData entryDispatchingPhone communicationProficiency in OutlookAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh attention to detail and accuracy in documentationDirect communication skills and excellent follow-upValid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and automobile liability coverage or access to an insured vehicleWork Environment
The Logistics Coordinator will work three days a week in Tualatin and two days in Hillsboro, with some flexibility after training. Training will occur on the job for 90 days, focusing on successful dispatching and building relationships with drivers. The position requires an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, working in person to support a team of 4 drivers with various vehicles, including box trucks and roll-offs. The goal is to coordinate drivers and routes using ROM, Google Maps, and Excel.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
