Logistics Coordinator
Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob Description This position involves managing shipments across the NAM region to ensure smooth operation of supply chains. Responsibilities + Ensure the timely pick-up and delivery of containers and act as a contact point for carriers and warehouses. + Follow up on last mile deliveries. + Review freight rates and transportation/demurrage costs to maintain low working costs. + Forecast and monitor demurrage and transportation expenses weekly. + Analyze container arrivals against port congestion and suggest new routes to reduce transit time and cost. + Coordinate customs release and work with customs brokers. + Support and review payment issues with vendors and accounts payable. Essential Skills + Experience within logistics or transportation. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications + SAP experience is a plus. + Continuous Improvement experience is highly desirable. + Bilingual abilities in Spanish, German, or Portuguese are a plus. + Attention to detail. + Time management skills. + Strong communication skills. + Ability to collaborate effectively. + Multitasking capabilities. + Organizational skills. + Ability to work well under deadlines. Work Environment This is a hybrid position with a flexible dress code depending on location for the day. The role operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break. The position is located away from the manufacturing plant but within a facility that houses other procurement and supply chain professionals. Employees have the option to work in the office as much as desired and can interact with colleagues onsite. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr.
