Logistics Coordinator
Description We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage scheduling, inventory, and fleet operations while ensuring seamless logistics processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities: • Coordinate service calls and dispatch personnel to meet customer and project needs efficiently. • Plan and manage the movement of materials, equipment, and staff to optimize logistics operations. • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and maintain accurate records to ensure timely supply of materials. • Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and compliance of company fleet operations. • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to streamline communication and resolve logistical challenges. • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements for all logistics activities. • Utilize logistics software and tools to track and enhance operational efficiency. • Proactively address and resolve unexpected issues in a fast-paced environment. • Develop and implement strategies to improve cost-effectiveness and operational performance. • Maintain detailed documentation of all logistics and inventory activities for reporting purposes. Requirements • Proven experience in logistics, with a preference for candidates familiar with the construction industry. • Strong proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively. • Clear and detail-oriented communication skills for coordinating across teams and with customers. • Familiarity with fleet management practices, including vehicle maintenance and compliance. • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems in dynamic environments. • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to logistics and fleet operations. • Experience with scheduling and dispatching in service-oriented settings is a plus.
