About this RoleMercer Technical Services (MTS), a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator with hands-on freight brokerage or 3PL experience to join our team in Spring, TX (The Woodlands area).
This role is ideal for someone who has worked in a fast-paced brokerage or transportation environment and understands how to source carriers, negotiate rates, and move freight efficiently across multiple lanes.
You will play a critical role in coordinating the movement of materials and equipment across complex infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and operational execution.
What You'll Do Coordinate end-to-end freight movements (FTL, LTL, flatbed, specialized equipment) from origin to deliverySource and secure capacity by working directly with carriers, brokers, and transportation providersNegotiate rates and service terms to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation solutionsManage load lifecycle including:load posting / coveragerate confirmationstracking and check callsdelivery verificationMaintain constant communication with drivers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure executionTrack shipments in real-time and proactively resolve issues such as delays, breakdowns, or reassignmentsBuild and maintain relationships with carrier networks and transportation partnersUtilize TMS platforms and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) to manage and execute shipmentsSupport high-volume operations by managing multiple loads and lanes simultaneouslyIdentify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process optimization What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred1–5+ years of experience in freight brokerage, 3PL, or transportation logistics, with direct experience booking loads, sourcing capacity, negotiating carrier rates, and managing shipments end-to-endStrong understanding of FTL/LTL, carrier networks, freight lanes, and market pricingExperience operating in a fast-paced, high-volume brokerage or logistics environment, managing multiple shipments simultaneouslyExperience with flatbed, heavy haul, or project-based freight, ideally supporting construction, energy, or infrastructure projectsAbility to negotiate effectively, build carrier relationships, and secure capacity quicklyStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage delays, disruptions, and real-time issuesExcellent communication skills and a strong sense of urgency with high attention to detail What You'll GetAs a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.
