Logistics Clerk - I
Our client, a major Oil and gas company, is looking for a Logistics Clerk to work on a long term contract in Sweeny, TX
Job requirements / skills Basic math skills, excel knowledge, computer savvy, communication skills, multitask, answering phone, talking on radio Education Level:  High school or above Check for the printer for any new orders on trucks or rail cars. Job Duties Check for new truck and rail orders and review emails for updates. Create customer?specific COAs for trucks and rail cars. Validate inventories against loaded trucks and rail cars. Continuously monitor sulfur levels and request extra loads if needed. Review tank car lists and inbound/outbound railcar movements. Verify previous contents of incoming railcars from CPC (RailTrac). Create daily railcar switch lists for the switching crew and coordinate with Product Control. Email switch lists to UPRR, CPC, and the lab. Communicate with the lab regarding COAs and propylene bombs. Correct SAP issue and transfer properly into FTZ. Process bill of ladings in SAP and UP systems. Verify billing acceptance in the UP website. Check BOLs for accuracy and hazmat info. File originals and copy documents. Manually calculate volumes for all loaded/unloaded rail cars using outage tables (no meters/scales). Enter volume data into spreadsheets and rail inventory logs. Create orders for BB Mix and Iso?Butane when needed. Maintain and coordinate railcar maintenance issues with various teams. Prepare tank car lists and update storage track lists. Send relevant emails for tank car lists and inventory updates. Enter calculated volumes into Sigmafine/FTZ spreadsheets. Send unloaded railcar spreadsheets to accounting. Create and send COAs and BOLs to customers. Reconcile sulfur truck shipments and calculate sulfur volumes. Prepare sulfur inventory and production notes for daily distribution. Perform weekly physical railcar yard checks (walking tracks, reconciling lists). Create and update outage tables in the Intellitrans system. Handle 8–10 daily rail/truck loading and shipping issues. Prepare sulfur orders a week in advance and manage the sulfur schedule. Send sulfur orders to carriers and maintain driver security/training requirements. Update calendars with truck orders and notify relevant personnel. File all daily paperwork (DOT?regulated, 2?year retention). Manage all SAP corrections for truck billing and shipments. Oversee truck scale quarterly calibration. 24/7 on?call support for sulfur truck and railcar loading/unloading issues. Rerouting loads, issuing extra orders, or resolving carrier equipment problems as needed. Serve as a main logistics contact for Product Accounting, Stock Dispatch, CPC, UP, and truck carriers. Train new hires for traffic coordinator roles. Participate in weekly solvent meetings. Assist with audits.
