Ensure timely completion of daily domestic & international shipments, accurate documentation, and coordination with transportation providers. The successful performance of these job duties has a significant impact on the timeliness and quality of customer shipments. Enhancing efficiency in transportation-related activities contributes to the overall corporate cost-saving initiative.
A Day in the Life:
Performs the daily processing of all international shipping documents to ensure timely shipments to all destinations.Suggests areas for cost savings and process improvements related to transportation, packaging, and supply chain operations.Works with contract and third-party transportation service providers to ensure punctual delivery performance.Coordinate the deliveries of material from outside warehouses to be consolidated with freight from this facility.Follows the terms included in Letters of Credit to ensure timely banking and processing of these orders. The ability to follow detailed instructions for export is essential.Takes assigned training to stay in compliance with all transportation and hazardous materials regulations.Keys to Success:

Education
A High School Diploma or GED is required.Experience
1+ years of experience in freight forwarding or transportation-related business operations is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Must be able to quickly prioritize daily work activities to ensure key shipping requirements are aligned and accomplished.Must be able to communicate transportation requirements to freight providers and with the customer support organization through both verbal and written communication.Build good working relationships with transportation suppliers and external departments such as Distribution Center Warehouse Operations, Accounting/Finance, Transportation Suppliers, Customer Service, and Field Service.Requires good oral and written presentation skills to communicate ideas and procedures to management and peers. Proficiency in Word, Excel, SAP, and Oracle E1 applications is preferred.Physical Requirements
