At the Buzias site, Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics. To further drive our successful growth, we will expand the location in a targeted manner over the next few years. The topics of digitalization and simulations support us in planning for the future and in implementation.
Based in Buzias, we are looking for a “Logistics Assistant”.
What part will you play?
· Activities related to warehouse system management: constant check-ups of the stock levels in the warehouse and stores; receiving raw, auxiliary and indirect materials.
· Checking stock discrepancies between physical stock and the system and collaborating with the purchasing department for stock updates and adjustments. Provides stock information to other company departments
· Reports to the warehouse manager any discrepancies between physical and recorded stock, as well as other identified differences
· Reports on any stock-related complaints to the supervisor and comply with legislation regarding stock management
· Checks the correct and safe storage of goods
· Participates in periodic inventories.
· Monitors the reception and return of packaging and the consumption of chemical substances
· Performs spot checks on goods upon receipt (quantity, quality, compliance);
· Assists the warehouse manager and the logistics manager with insights into driving improvements in logistics optimization: material handling efficiency, inventory accuracy, storage utilization, labelling. Proposes optimization measures, such as reducing obsolete stock.
What you need to make real what matters.
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in business administration, industrial engineering or logistics.
· Minimum of 3-5 additional years of professional experience in Logistics.
· Good proficiency English, Romanian language is a must.
· A good understanding of SAP or similar ERP-systems
· Good MS Office experience, including excellent spreadsheet skills.
