Logistics and Trade Compliance Sr. Analyst

Airswift is seeking a Logistics and Trade Compliance Sr. Analyst (6 months with possibility of renewal), to work on an outsourced contract, in Rio de Janeiro, with a major Oil & Gas Company.
The Senior Logistics and Trade Compliance Analyst will coordinate the activities, processes, and deliveries related to import and export shipments, starting with the preparation of requests through to their arrival at the final destination, following local and international regulations, as well as company policies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Arrange international shipments (import and export) in accordance with international and local regulations and policies
• Coordinate domestic shipments in accordance with local regulations and policies
• Achieve financial and operational objectives by assisting with budgetary control and scheduling.
• Comply with international and local regulations related to trade compliance and export controls
• Prepare, monitor, control, and report budgets and schedules for import and export shipments
• Develop and maintain logistics systems for international shipments that ensure business needs are met.
• Update and enter data into logistics systems and controls
• Manage subcontractors (customs brokers, land carriers, ocean carriers, and freight forwarders)
• Assist in issuing and reviewing Local Procedures in accordance with current legislation and with automatic updates
• Assist in the transportation of Project-related cargo with abnormal/excessive weights and dimensions
• Assist in the chartering of breakbulk and heavy-lift vessels
• Generate, apply, and approve all related shipping documents, ensuring compliance with all customs requirements
• Work closely with clients (internal and external) and service providers, such as customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and all other relevant parties, to ensure the safety of all stakeholders
• Ensure partners understand and accept the Client's guidelines and requirements for all logistics operations
• Negotiate and manage the contractual relationship with designated Project logistics providers
• Ensure that Project cargo mobilization and demobilization efforts are carried out in compliance with relevant regulations
• Develop, control, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Develop, control, and monitor cash flow for import and export shipments
• Review and approve (based on the DOA) all expenses and reports prepared by service providers relating to import and export shipments
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in Logistics and Transportation
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Economics, or other related disciplines. Higher education is considered a plus.
• Relevant certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in International Trade is desirable, but not required.
• Advanced fluency in English, both oral and written.
• Good knowledge of International Import and Export Controls.
• Solid knowledge of International Freight and formalities requirements.
• Experience with large industrial and/or EPCI-related projects.
• Experience with the transportation of dangerous goods. Certification is desirable, but not required.
• Experience with SPMAT and Oracle is desirable.
