Logistics Analyst
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Yard Management & Logistics Analyst to oversee and optimize Switching & Yard Management Operations across multiple Ford VO, Powertrain, and Stamping Plants. In this critical role, you will drive efficiency, improve processes, and identify cost savings through meticulous data analysis and strategic system implementation. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Data & Analytics:** Collect, validate, and analyze data from various yard management systems (YMS, RTLS, CMMS, Blue Yonder) to ensure accuracy and consistency. + **Reporting & Optimization:** Create and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) reports (e.g., trailer dwell time, yard throughput) and recommend process improvements based on operational needs. + **Performance & Efficiency:** Identify bottlenecks, underutilized assets, and inefficiencies by analyzing trends in yard utilization and traffic patterns, translating complex data into actionable insights. + **Forecasting & Strategy:** Utilize historical YMS data and cross-functional inputs (Forward Model, MFE, Plant Material Handling, Ford Land) to forecast impacts of new models, operating patterns, and JPH changes on yard operations. + **System Implementation & Training:** Support YMS implementations at new or remaining sites (with a focus on Powertrain & Stamping in 2025) and provide on-site training to employees. + **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or equivalent work experience. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), with intermediate Excel skills. + Experience managing projects and/or system implementations is essential. + A self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic manufacturing environment. + Comfortable working with an hourly workforce (Forklift Drivers, Clerks, Truck Drivers, etc.). + **Work Environment & Travel:** This role may require working night shifts, weekends, and occasional holidays.
