Supports the Regional Logistics Manager, Carrier Operations for administering the freight-sheltered income program while ensuring timely delivery of shipments. In addition, enlists and qualifies various carriers and manages the claims and pallet recovery programs. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company. + Position Responsibilities: + Planning, Optimizing and Execution for all outside carrier loads / orders. + Uses MS Excel to analyze and breakdown data for customer usage, item cost, shipping unit cost (LBs / Cube / Pallet) and identify opportunities and issues that need to be addressed. + Handles daily operational tasks and communication with carriers, shipping locations, purchasing team and PFG distribution center staff. + Review daily purchase orders to build optimal consolidations to achieve maximum revenue. + Works with purchasing team to address issues with orders, loads, supply or transit time days to ensure optimal order cycles, in stock product and profitability balance is maintained. + Identifies differences in KPI’s versus prior year and breaks down and communicates what is causing the differences. + Files freight claims for Overages, Shortages and Damages (OS&D) as needed. Processes, investigates, documents, and communicates issues as needed.
