As a Logistics Specialist I, you support one of the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructures by ensuring that critical datacenter hardware is received, stored, tracked, and delivered accurately and on time. You work at the front line of cutting-edge AI and cloud technology, maintaining precise inventory records, supporting build and repair activities, and helping keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced datacenter logistics environment.
Responsibilities
Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available to support datacenter build, repair, and maintenance activities.Receive incoming shipments, including pallets of GPU and other hardware components, and accurately enter them into the inventory management system.Check out and issue parts to Datacenter Technicians, Engineering Operations, and other internal teams as needed.Stage hardware and components so that Datacenter Operations can efficiently install and deploy them.Assist with loading and unloading shipments, including working with third-party delivery providers.Transport parts and materials between different locations within the campus or facility as required.Maintain accurate and detailed records of all commodities and parts moving in and out of the facility.Support reverse logistics processes, including handling failed or returned parts for repair or disposition.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work area, consistently upholding high housekeeping standards.Follow established inventory control methodologies and standard operating procedures to minimize errors and loss.Collaborate closely with datacenter operations technicians, infrastructure delivery teams, third-party vendors, and engineering operations.Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards or concerns.Work both independently and as part of a team to complete daily tasks and meet operational deadlines.Take initiative to identify and complete tasks during downtime, including assisting operations teams with building and installing equipment when needed.Deliver results by processing and ingesting parts quickly and accurately upon arrival to support continuous datacenter and AI operations.Essential Skills
0–2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to read and follow directions in English.Ability to work overtime as required, including potential holiday coverage such as major federal holidays.Capability to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances.Willingness and ability to participate in group lifts of 50 pounds or more.Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout the shift.Ability to continuously climb and descend stairs safely where applicable.Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Ability to coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment.Ability to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the workday without becoming overly fatigued.Ability to push or pull heavy objects into position.Comfort working in environments where noise levels can be moderate to loud.Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence.Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks independently.Basic proficiency with computers and ability to perform data entry accurately.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using Inventory Management Systems.Understanding of inventory control methodologies and best practices.Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment, including reverse logistics processes.Experience handling vendor or third-party logistics relationships.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.Ability to perform Excel-based data entry, including working with pivot tables and structured data.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple operational and engineering teams.Demonstrated positive work attitude and the ability to exhibit leadership behaviors when needed.Demonstrated ability to sustain performance above minimum expectations for extended periods.Commitment to a strong safety culture and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.Ability to take initiative, identify what needs to be done, and follow through without constant supervision.Customer service mindset when supporting internal teams and stakeholders.Work Environment
This role is based in a large-scale datacenter and warehouse environment that supports advanced AI and cloud computing operations. You work on a rotating schedule of three days on and four days off, followed by four days on and three days off, with both day and night shifts available (approximately 5:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. for days and 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. for nights). Initial training typically lasts 1–2 weeks, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The work environment includes both office and warehouse spaces, with noise levels ranging from low to loud depending on location and activity. You work around moving mechanical parts and equipment, and temperatures generally range between 60 and 90 degrees, occasionally exceeding 90 degrees or involving exposure to hot or cold weather during loading and unloading. The role is physically active, involving standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and other movements for prolonged periods. You regularly interact with datacenter operations technicians, infrastructure delivery teams, third-party pallet delivery providers, and engineering operations, while also spending time working independently.
