LOGCAP: Operation Manager – Marshall Islands (USN)
This Opportunity
Seeking an experienced and engaged leader for the role of Operations Manager in Kwajalein Atoll. This vital position is responsible for managing the daily operations in power, fuel, aircraft, and engineering services to the US Military and other clients operating in contingency environment in PACOM AORs under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of managing operations in contingency environment supporting the US military combat missions at overseas locations. Additionally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate the capability of collaborating, communicating and working with senior managers and staff, local and international contractors and subcontractors; USACE and other military clientele; and local officials as required.
You must be able to work in a fluid and fast-moving growth environment, using resources both inside and external to the organization. You will be a contributor to the overall management of the company. Duties will encompass leadership and direct contribution activities leading to controlled, profitable growth, creating a more effective operating tempo.

The following position requirements, essential at this stage of the company’s development, establish the necessary professional background and experience parameters for this role:
Work with the Task Order Manager and Leads to plan operating programs, develop standard schedules for operating and maintenance activities. Become familiar with the Contract deliverables and provide reports daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by the Operations Plans. Manage field procurement and logistics processes and coordinate material and resources allocation to support the program. Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to ensure compliance with the contract requirement. Operations - Oversee scheduling of moving teams and equipment. Manage the number of resources available to ensure a balance of redundancy and utilization. Responsible for workplace safety including injury prevention and overall field performance. Establishing and maintaining appropriate systems, metrics, and reports for measuring necessary aspects of operations, to include key performance indicator dashboards. Ensuring compliance with requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, federal acquisition regulations, other pertinent laws and regulations, and the general duty of care. Maintain close relationships with the client to ensure all their requirements are fully met in accordance with the task order and prime contract requirements; Represent VGS at conferences, negotiations, other meetings and be able to speak authoritatively while recognizing the limitations of your own professional knowledge and credentials; Review and approve all subcontractors and suppliers invoices prior to submitting for processing.Maintain constant awareness of available resources including personnel, space, equipment, and funding; Institute management controls to assure the staff are carryout their duties with the highest degree of quality, accountability, and integrity and within the code of conduct required by the U.S. military; Report in writing any issues to the Task Order Manager which could impact the project or the company, as the accountable on-site agent for VGS. Required Qualifications
Experience in managing O&M programs in contingency environment. Experience in managing medium to large scale O&M sites Experience in complying with and enforcing Quality, Safety, and F.A.R. Compliance. Experienced in managing a technical staff, engineers, inspectors and support personnel Experienced working in international work environments in an expatriate or US military statusProactive nature and strong interpersonal skills in collaborating, communicating and working with (1) other senior managers and staff (to include Home and Field Office management team), (2) Local and International subcontractors; (3) Army Corps of Engineers military representatives; and (4) local officials as requiredPreferred Qualifications
Experience in providing O&M Services to clients Experience working in contingency environment (Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Kwajalein Atoll, etc.) Years of experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 yearsAdditional Requirements:
