Job Description

To keep our stores and customers thriving, we’re looking for motivated and reliable team players to join our Locals Team—the crucial crew who handle local stock deliveries as they come in the door.

As part of the Inwards Locals Team, you’ll be at the frontline of processing incoming local stock—ensuring it’s unloaded, checked, receipted, and ready to go. This role offers a variety of hands-on tasks in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

What you’ll be doing:

Unpacking cartons (1kg–30kg)Scanning and sorting stock by barcodeUsing RF scanners to track itemsAssisting with closing, labelling, and prepping stock for the floorOperating pallet jacks, box cutters, and strapping machinesBulk picking and managing stock locationsAdapting to changing priorities throughout the day

This is a fixed term position until Mid January 2026.

Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm

$30.28/hr

Please note: This role is to support our Peak Period through to January 2026. As it is our busiest time of the year, we are unlikely to be able to approve any extended leave across this time including around Christmas and New Years (Please note, we do not work public holidays).

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

Are physically fit and comfortable on your feet all dayCan lift and handle stock with care and accuracyHave great attention to detail and strong time managementEnjoy solving problems and working in a fast-moving environmentCan communicate clearly and work well both independently and in a teamHave previous warehouse/distribution experience (helpful, but not essential!)

To be considered for this role, you must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
