Your role and responsibilities

You will be working as Finance Controller, reporting to Finance Manager for Electrification Business Area of Smar Power Division based in Dhaka Bangladesh, In this role you will build partnership with OC / Local Marketing & Sales Manager and maintains strong relationships with local and regional / global stakeholders. Support business goals and initiatives by ensuring controlling and financial capabilities are in place for business operation and growth. Represent business needs and provide consistent reporting and finance analytics. Ensure consistent and sustainable financial controls are in place and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Smart Power, as a Finance Controller for Dhaka-Bangladesh Location.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Business & Sales Finance Support: Supports financial performance by providing Marketing & Sales with insights on demand orders, revenue, cost-to-serve, EBITA, cash flow, and commercial effectiveness.Strategic Finance Alignment: Defines and implements finance strategy aligned with business goals; partners with Sales & Marketing to enable growth and demand generation.Financial Reporting & Controls: Ensures transparent, accurate financial data and reporting through robust tools, internal controls, and compliance with corporate and local regulations.Risk & Opportunity Management: Identifies commercial and financial risks and opportunities; oversees pricing, rebates, contracts, and credit processes while ensuring audit readiness and governance compliance.

Qualifications for the role:

Educational Background: University or college degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.Professional Experience: 8–12 years of finance or controllership experience in a global matrixed multinational environment.Finance Skills: Comprehensive functional knowledge in finance controlling, planning, and FP&A with end-to-end finance process understanding.ERP Proficiency: Extensive experience with modern finance ERP systems like SAP and related reporting tools.Stakeholder Engagement: Effective communication skills to coordinate with Controllers, Accounting Centers, and internal stakeholders for operational improvements.Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional collaboration, manage change, and guide decision-making at multiple levels.Intercultural Skill: Demonstrates intercultural sensitivity and effectiveness; acts as a facilitator across cultures with a collaborative team mindset.
